Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Odeh & Wisdom Holdings Ltd collects, uses, and protects personal information when you interact with Freedom Writers, our Roblox game creation bootcamp for young people aged 11 to 16.

We take your privacy seriously, and we take the privacy of children in our care especially seriously. This policy tells you exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how long we keep it.

By joining the Freedom Writers waitlist, signing up to our parent newsletter, or registering for the programme, you are agreeing to the terms of this policy. If you are a parent or guardian signing up on behalf of a child, this policy applies to both of you.

If you have any questions about how we handle your data, you can contact us at any time at ceo@odeh-wisdomholdings.com. We will always respond within 5 working days.

Why We Collect It and Our Legal Basis

Under UK GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for processing personal data. The table below sets out why we collect each type of data and the legal basis we rely on.

Purpose Legal basis
Managing the student waitlist and sending registration details Legitimate interest
Delivering the Freedom Writers programme to registered participants Contract performance
Sending the parent newsletter with programme updates Consent (parents can unsubscribe at any time)
Safeguarding children during the programme Legal obligation
Processing referral codes and distributing Robux rewards Legitimate interest
Maintaining financial records of registrations and payments Legal obligation (Companies Act 2006)
Anonymous website analytics via Netlify Legitimate interest

For children aged 11 to 13, the legal basis for processing their personal data is parental consent, not the child's own consent. A parent or guardian must complete the registration process on their child's behalf.

Children's Data

Because Freedom Writers is designed for young people aged 11 to 16, we apply additional protections to how we handle children's personal information. This section explains those protections clearly.

🛡️ Our Commitments to Children's Privacy
  • We do not accept registrations from children under the age of 11.
  • For children aged 11 to 13, a parent or guardian must complete registration on their behalf. We do not rely on a child's own consent as the legal basis for processing their data.
  • We do not use children's personal data for marketing purposes of any kind.
  • We do not share children's personal data with third parties beyond what is strictly necessary to deliver the programme.
  • We do not profile children, track their behaviour across other websites, or use their data for targeted advertising.
  • Children's Roblox usernames are only shared with Roblox Corporation for the purpose of distributing Robux prize payouts.
  • Parents and guardians can request that their child's data be deleted at any time by emailing ceo@odeh-wisdomholdings.com. We will action all deletion requests within 14 days.
  • We will never contact a child directly by email without explicit parental consent.

Freedom Writers is designed in line with the principles of the UK Children's Code (Age Appropriate Design Code). We apply the highest privacy settings as the default for all participants aged under 18.
